Juice Spritzer

I mostly drink water now.  But when I gave up my beloved diet soda, I wanted to have an alternative to water, something a little more interesting that I can have particularly if I’m out to eat or travelling and don’t want just water.  I like this drink because I can order it almost anywhere (like at a restaurant or on an airplane) and they’ll be able to make it without it being a fuss.  But I also make it at home sometimes.

Fruit Smoothies

Fruit smoothies make for a great breakfast on the go or snack.  They’re also a great way to sneak in veggies!  I add a small handful of spinach, kale or chard leaves into my smoothie to get some amazingly nutritious greens in my diet. The taste of those greens is mild enough that it’s taste is completely masked by the fruit and a small handful of greens is about a serving, so it’s an easy way to get a serving of veggies.
